AI summary:

Amid a coup in Niger, Victoria Nuland from the US State Department attempted to influence the situation but was denied access and achieved no breakthrough with coup leaders. The incident reveals US interests, including a drone base and military support, while the country’s closed airspace and borders complicate aid efforts. The coup underscores anti-colonial sentiments, challenging French influence as the junta annulled defense pacts. Though Nuland’s efforts failed, the US might exploit the situation, possibly replacing French dominance with their own interests. The junta’s decision to maintain ties with the US could reshape power dynamics, aiming to remove foreign control and align more with Russia or the US for greater sovereignty.

So i assume you are ok with military overthrowing a democratically elected government, as long as that junta “humiliates” the US and aligns with russian interests? Because you are a “leftist” and US is bad? Or are you far right, judging by your nickname, and Russia represents family rights and christianity? I am just trying to understand your angle.

Do you have any idea about polling, especially under a dictatorship? And on top of that, who conducted that poll? How reliable are they? According to some polls, Trump should be president. Should Trump stage a coup and take over the country? Is this what you are implying?

Do you know what is the most democratic and reliable way of measuring what the people want? The elections. And people had elected that government. If the people didnt want that government, then next year could have voted for something different.

You can’t have democratic elections when the rich can just pay the poor a few bucks and have them vote whatever they want, which is what happened in the case of the previous government.

You are right, using military force to take over the government is a preferable system.
