It’s an ear. I’m sure it’s cleaned up and stitched. Those pictures are not the highest quality.

**We do not need to waste time on conspiracy theory nonsense comments like yours. **. That ass clown has done so many terrible things that are factual, documented, undeniable.

I’m not so sure this conspiracy is a hill to die on.

I wouldn’t be surprised if in that statement he also added, “trump is in the best shape of his life, has 2% body fat, and will live to be 132.” Because we all know that doctor just loves lying out of his ass. Does he even still have his license to practice medicine considering he is a fraud?

Two centimeters long by how wide? Zero? And maybe .1 deep? Like a papercut? Something like that could possibly get stitched or glued together in the allowed time. But it would definitely be shrapnel in that case, or his own fingernail. Like, if he felt a bullet go past, realized and ducked, then felt foolish and decided it would be better publicity with a wound instead of the focus being on him crouching for cover. I won’t say cowering because it’s an appropriate response to being shot at, but he would think it.

My heart goes out to the 3 very real victims, whose only crime was being idiot enough to be at a Trump rally. I hope the Trump campaign will put some money towards their medical bills (she said knowing they won’t).

The more plausible explanation is that he was grazed by a piece of shrapnel.

He put that stupid big bandage on for theatrics.

I’ll lay a little judgement. Shooting through a flat piece of tissue would give wounds similar to what was shown in the video. The difference between an ear on a human head that is facing you flat on and an ear attached to cardboard at a shooting range facing you flat on is that one of them has a head behind it. A hit is still possible, but it likely would have looked different from what they showed.

Obviously, whatever hit Trump’s ear, it was going more or less from one side of his ear to the other (front to back, or vice versa), otherwise it would have hit his head and we’d have a much more significant wound to discuss.

Doesn’t matter to his base. The fact that he was shot at makes him a martyr in their eyes (he was always their chosen one).

Oh no. This matters to his base because we can embarrass them with this picture moving forward.

They truly believe that Trump was hit by the bullet, and is missing a piece of his ear because of it.

I mean, they won’t ever believe it. No matter what kind of irrefutable evidence comes out, they’ll all still believe he was shot in the ear. There could be slow motion camera footage of the perfect angle to see the shrapnel/glass graze his ear in a super clear picture perfect image and they’d still deny that he wasn’t shot in the ear.

Yes, but the difference is that when showing said irrefutable evidence in a group setting, the neutral parties who are listening into the discussion can see who is a dumbass.

Its not about convincing the Trump supporter. In many cases, its about convincing the low-information undecided voters who are sitting around or just casually listening in.

We aren’t there quite yet. I’d like to see more evidence than just one picture that’s been seemingly withdrawn by the AP. If Trump’s ear truly is healed up by now, we’ll get more pictures soon.

Pete Souze disabled his account because of comments by the MAGA crowd.

    https://petapixel.com/2024/07/29/photographer-pete-souza-deletes-x-account-after-controversial-trump-post/

“I re-posted a screenshot of New York Times photographer Doug Mills’ Twitter post of the same situation of Trump boarding his plane, which included the date and time of his photo. Doug is one of Trump’s favorite photographers and Trump has publicly called him ‘my genius photographer.’ So I thought the maga world would at least believe Doug Mills.”

“They didn’t. The comments turned ugly. Mostly about me, but also some that disparaged Doug Mills,” Souza continues.

“So I de-activated my Twitter account. It was a gut decision, made only by me. I am still not sure if this is a temporary or a permanent action,” Souza continues.

He obviously milked it to the maximum. That ear bandage he was walking around with, was obviously a PR thing too. It did never look like a medical professional was anywhere near that.

Look, I hate the guy, but that is how you bandage an ear.

People got shot so that parts real.

He could have been nicked or he could have caught it on a sharp point bending down or he could have cut it with a fingernail.

My money is on the fingernail. He’s probably on blood thinners. He’s probably got thin, brittle skin. He probably clawed at his ear when the bullet whizzed by.

He could easily have nicked it. A nick can bleed like crazy and also heal very fast.

      From there it’s all spin…

The simplest explanation is probably this given how fast it healed, I guess.

that is how you bandage an ear.

        No. Its not.

Source: many years as a nurse, several in emergency care.

I don’t doubt, that he was grazed by a bullet or a shrapnel. I’m just saying he milked it and that bandage was not professional.

I had a cancer removed from my ear and they bandaged it a lot like this? There are two primary means if bandaging an ear and they both look ridiculous. I have no doubt he got them to “make it look like a big deal” but you are not slapping a bandaid on that and calling it a day, right?

Edit - Moh’s surgery dressing is what I’m talking about.

It could have, yes. Would an AP photographer and or Pete Souza do that? Very highly unlikely. He also combs his hair that way.

      You could also ask,
Couldn’t the picture have simply been made with ai?

The answer to both questions is the same.

His hairstyle isn’t symmetrical though. It has a side-part on the opposite side of his injured ear. So unless he suddenly decided to change the part of his hair (which, when you consider how involved it actually is because it’s a massive combover) it’s unlikely to be a flipped image.

In short: Because we can’t see his hair part in this image, we know it’s likely not flipped.

What kind of doctor would allow prosthetic makeup on an open head wound? That’s asking for an infection and I don’t think a makeup artist would even agree to do it.
