    And if it is in the books, it is the most tightly held of intelligence, especially since The Chicks are set to sing the National Anthem to kick off Thursday night and Pink has already been announced as a closing night performer.

    A lot of people might not remember, but the Dixie Chicks had their music careers basically ruined for being on the right side of history about 9/11 and the resulting wars.

    When damn near everyone in this country fell for Cheny’s lies, three young up and coming country singers stood by what is right and their own personal morals.

    I knew they dropped the Dixie years ago. but didn’t know they were still going as a band.

    It’s good to have them at the DNC.

      I hope they sing “Goodbye Trump” not only because Goodbye Earl is a banger of a song but also because i want to laugh about Ben Shapiro complaining that The Chicks threatened to murder Trump and open a lesbian jam stand over his secret grave.

      Ummm, time to feel old however the Dixie Chicks were around since 1989. The Dixie Chicks were active as a band for 17 years before Republicans got upset at the Dixies Chicks for speaking out against the Iraq war.

        Damn, that’s crazy…

        I googled it and they were born in 69, 72, and 74.

        So they started the band when the youngest was 15, and still going.

            They just had Steph Curry and then some dude quoted Kendrick…

            Kendrick probably would have shown up just to sing the song about Drake being a pedophile.

            But the energy of “Not Like Us” is exactly what we need and just seems made for this election.

            Also for calling Drake a pedophile, but music can be two things.

              Imagine you were 30 years older and president…

              Time moving faster as we age is totally normal and due to a couple different things, but I’m sure to Biden it feels like 4 weeks have gone by and not four years.

              It’s a big reason why progress is slow and backslides are monumental, both parties are run by 60+ year olds. The ones that say they want progress are terrified how fast it moves and want it to slow down, the ones that want the “good ole days” feel like it’s obvious progress is happening too fast and we need to go backwards.
