              I’ve been binge watching the fever dreams (⊙ᴗ⊙)

              I’m mostly worried about my mother, I caught it from my father (somehow, after seeing him like once last week in passing) and even though he isolated from her once he knew he had it, she tested positive yesterday too, …and she’s due to go on her first big trip abroad in her ENTIRE LIFE in like 4 days to Paris (we’re a bit lower class haha), supposed to be a big special once in a lifetime treat from her daughter, planned it for a year now :-(

              First time any of us have caught it too, my father is in the high risk category (twice over) so we’ve generally been careful this whole time, and we’ve been getting the boosters (ironically this year’s booster became available TODAY) but ya know it was going to happen eventually…

              But enough of my story of extremely bad timing, glad to hear you recovered without and lasting negative effects :-)

    I wonder if Putin’s plan to ban talking about childless lifestyle and saying this will work? Russias are not as traditional as people make it out to be, especially those in the cities. He will just rile up many folks.

    Pooty poot knows how bad off russia really is. The population has taken several generational hits in the last hundred years and he just delivered another. To him women are nothing but things and those things better be producing male cannon fodder.

      Russia took a more original turn: as the key interest rate approached 20% APY, legislation was implemented to subsidize mortgage to people with kids (6% APY).

      With rent prices soaring along (up to 75% in some places, about 40% on average year on year), housing market simply prices out everyone without kids, making living conditions way worse.

    All living things purpose is to reproduce, that being said, If your leader tries to restrict your freedom’s to your most basic instinct you can probably find a better value with someone else.

        It doesn’t matter. If a living thing “chooses” not to reproduce, it will not pass on its genes, and that decision was detrimental to the species. As such, it no longer exists. This could still be considered a choice, just a flawed one. However, this has taken place trillions of times throughout history, and anything that made that choice was weeded out. You might not understand your purpose, and you might die before fulfilling it, but make no mistake: you have a deep evolutionary instinct to prioritize reproduction over anything else. Everything else consists of instrumental goals that emerge from the primary goal of reproduction. It is literally mathematically, scientifically, psychologically, sociologically, experimentally, and simulatively PROVEN—to the extent science can prove anything and even further thanks to mathematics.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

        Incorrect, you can purposely build things, you can build a birdhouse for the purpose of housing birds, a factory can build a car for the purpose of driving and cells can build a human for the purpose of reproduction.
