His show is popular. So no. Because it would be financially prudent to keep the show.

They’re bending the knee to a felon rapist, like so many other pathetic companies. If you’re paying CBS/Paramount…stop.

They don’t care about Trump taking over CBS, they care about the Skydance/Paramount merger in progress. Paramount owns CBS. And Trump would push to stop that merger unless CBS, Paramount, and Skydance bend the knee.

The sad fact is, after the merger goes through they will continue to be extorted by Trump. It won’t stop with this one move.

So many people, businesses, and countries have given Trump BJs to stay in his favour and all it does it show him he can come back and bully them again for more.

But I’m sure it’ll work out this time.

Trump is a shit stain. But I don’t get why people don’t see that he’s not the only shit stain. These companies aren’t afraid of him. They are supporting the shift to fascism that they chose. So even the most milk toast liberal criticism won’t have a place in that world. This isn’t done out of fear.

Please remember this. Because fascism won’t die with Trump. The capitalist class has chosen it. And they will support it as long as it serves their interests.

Technically yes. It will influence the administrations approval of a merger. And in a way, that is so much worse than being afraid. They are willing to sell out the country for their own profit.

What’s stopping the Trump admin from continuing to obstruct the merger? I wouldn’t put it past him to try to screw over Paramount even more, now that they showed him that he can push them around.

That’s the thing, there isn’t anything stopping Trump from blocking it anyway. Look what happened to Columbia. They bent the knee, and he still fucked them. Fascist’s gonna fascist.

Not to what CBS/Paramount did, but they’ve got The Daily Show too, and Jon Stewart’s complaining about the bribe on his episode last week doesn’t seem to have triggered any punishment there. He even had a former 60 Minutes correspondent on to discuss the bribe.

At this point. Does it really matter? If the answer is yes, nothing changes. If the answer is no, nothing changes.

This is how shit is going to be now. No difference is made regardless of the answer to the question. Best to just take note of yet another thing that will happen despite your objection and hope there’s an America worth protecting in 2028.

Maybe then, enough people will have learned their lesson and decide to actually vote against fascism.

I’m sure the whiny poohs will find something else to complain about and use as an excuse to sit it out and blame the opposition party.

There will always be single-issue protest clowns. We can only hope that from this, enough of them will have learned that there are consequences for inaction.

The fuck does this have to do with Colbert?

Are you so out of touch that you honestly think you just simply outvote fascism?

Obama was the seporter I chief. He was king of the drone war.

The main difference is the flavor. I prefer blue flavored fascism but a change HAS to happen soon and if the Democrats continue to lose its on them. They control the outcome in ina game of numbers at this point and blaming random groups they tell you to is being a useful idiot.

Did you try following the conversation?

My goodness, that’s a fine edit you did there my guy! Made me have to go and edit my own just so that it made sense!

But again, to answer your original question, I’m going to have to ask you to just follow the conversation. It’s not that complicated to see how I arrived at this conclusion.

Fun fact. Polls show more people who sat out the 2024 election would’ve voted for Trump than Harris. So you can quit blaming folks upset about genocide for Trump’s win.

And reality shows that if the protest voters had enough common sense to realize our democracy was at stake, Harris would have won.

I’m not talking about the would-be Trump voters who sat out. I’m talking specifically about the assholes who would have voted against trump, and were given every promise that he would do EXACTY what he is doing now- and still chose not to.

I’m talking about the fuckwits that knew what we were up against, and decided they’d rather punish an entire country for not producing their depiction of a flawless candidate.
