Reminds me of post 9/11 America. Anti Muslim hate and hate crimes became normal and celebrated. Americans sang koombayah about how united they were in their hate for brown people. Anyone who spoke out got cancelled, and anyone who defended muslims was called a terrorist

“His parents own a mansion in Uganda, he spent a lot of time there,” Cuomo said during an interview on Fox Business. “He just doesn’t understand the New York culture, the New York values, what 9/11 meant, what entrepreneurial growth means, what opportunity means, why people came here.”

Maybe I’m a dog, cause that whistle loud.

Hmm… Mamdani has the support of the guy who said something nasty about 9/11.

On the other hand Cuomo has the support of the guy who has insulted the memory of every victim and survivor of 9/11 more times than we can count.

    Tough choice.

Cuomo has the support of the guy who, less than a full day after the attack, was in an interview gloating about how he was so happy that he had the tallest building in Manhattan now.

What I know of him, he’s been very outspokenly pro-American and anti-violence, but he’ll never back down from siding with someone just because they’re Muslim.

That doesn’t matter to the fascists though, he’ll be put with “Pro Islam == Pro Terrorism” regardless. It’s pure racism, and they will always find some utterance of his and twist it to fit their agenda.

      The Fascists? Obviously they’re racist

How about the Democrats? Every goddamn interview they’re like “hey, so we saw you with a brown person who looked kinda angry earlier, would you like to disavow claims that you’re planning another 9/11?”

So are they trying to show that Mamdani was in his teens when 911 happened? If so, then he should be in a leadership position, because typically, throughout American history, the futures of the young haven’t been determined by people who should have died a decade ago.

It sounds like he’s a contemporary to me, but what really interests me is that he promotes ideas and programs that seem to exclusively help, real, actual people that live, work, and breathe in his city, regardless of their social standing, or the number or properties they own. Almost like he embodies the the spirit of large amounts of the Constitution and declaration of Independence.
