A British woman was shot dead by her father last year after the pair had argued about President Donald Trump earlier that day. Lucy Harrison, 23, was fatally shot on Jan. 10, 2025 while visiting her father, Kris Harrison, in suburban Dallas at his home in Prosper, Texas. Harrison moved to the U.S. when Lucy was a child.

Prosper police originally investigated her death as a possible case of manslaughter, but a criminal case in Texas was not brought after a grand jury in Collin County opted not to indict him. Her death is being investigated in Cheshire Coroner’s Court in England.

On the morning of the shooting, Littler said Lucy had asked her father, “How would you feel if I was the girl in that situation and I’d been sexually assaulted?” while they were discussing Trump. Kris responded that he had two other daughters living in their home, so it would not upset him very much.

JFC This guy sounds like a real piece of work. The prosecutor apparently bought in to his story that he “invited her” to the bedroom to see his gun and it went off accidentally. Even though she hated the fact that he owns a firearm and they were about to leave for the airport.

I learned to shoot before I learned to ride a bike, and I think almost everyone who unintentionally discharges a firearm into another person should be criminally charged.

    • If you can’t consistently avoid pointing guns at people you don’t intend to kill, you have no business handling a gun.
    • If you can’t consistently avoid touching the trigger when you aren’t prepared to shoot or dry-fire, you have no business handling a gun.
    • If you can’t or won’t ensure a gun is unloaded before any further administrative (non-shooting) handling, you have no business handling a gun.
    • If you’re drunk, you have no business handling a gun.
    • If you’re going to argue about whether “nearly an entire bottle of white wine” makes you drunk, you have no business handling a gun.

It’s a weapon designed to kill things. Treat it like one.

What magic did the prosecutor pull off to make sure the GJ wouldn’t indict? The bar is usually comically low. Is the prosecutor also a member of the cult?

Well, see, she was mean about daddy Trump so therefore he was entirely justified in killing her. Open and shut case really.

An average man drinking a whole bottle of wine in 3 hours is at about the 0.8% BAC limit for driving in the USA. Handling firearms is also a hazardous activity requiring good judgment, situational awareness, and coordination.
