I stopped watching Star Trek after the finale of Discovery. I’ve been a fan for decades, but… oh my god.
I don’t care how flamboyantly gay those Klingons are. I want good writing.
Discovery was utter dog shit for sure.
Strange new worlds is decent though, a few misses but worth watching.
Lower decks is fantastic, a real love letter to fans.
Academy I expected to be just as shit as discovery but was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely the weakest of the above with quite a variety in quality, but has its moments. I don’t hate it (so far).
In response to how joyful it was to read what Brad and George had to say, I wore this to work.
EDIT: As an Asian Trekkie, it is hard to explain how proud I am to have Uncle George as a role model.
