“The Military Religious Freedom Foundation says it has been inundated with over 200 calls from members of the U.S. military regarding religious comments made by U.S. commanders about the war in Iran. One combat unit commander reportedly said that the war is “part of God’s divine plan” and that “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.””

Anyone who legit believes that needs to be removed and institutionalized.

Anyone saying it because it’s handy propaganda needs to be removed snd tried for war crimes.

Can we just skip to the part where we put trumps rotting corpse onto the golden throne and have the military worship that ?

At least then I won’t have to listen to him speak anymore.

Doubtful. If Jesus has returned to earth, Trump has already sent Him to CECOT…

Uh, why he show up in the USA? He’s far more likely to appear 😞 n the middle east and be shot to death than appear in the US of A. You are not that important, there isn’t one single important religious site in the name of Christians in all of the Americas.

I keep seeing this story in many places except for mainstream media. When will the AP pick this one up or is it still being developed?

They don’t even believe in Supply Side Jesus at this point. They believe in White Supremacist Jesus.

How long before they retcon the story that his name was actually Jesse and he had a mullet and was born in Kentucky? Maybe they could take the Mormon believe that Jesus skipped over to North America after he was resurrected and build on that. Trump Bible second edition?

I’m thinking right now of those people you always see on the internet talking about the military finally having enough of Trump and subsequently removing him forcibly from office. Do you think a few of those people are coming to a pretty jarring realization right now as to what kind of person typically serves in the military? And that THIS is what they’ve pinned their hopes on for ending this madness?

I want to see that photo. You know if that actually happened Trump would not stop talking about it. You keep the saviours name outta that mouth, he don’t want anything to do with this shit show, and frankly neither do I.

A combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers at a briefing Monday that the Iran war is part of God’s plan and that Pres. Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” according to a complaint by a non-commissioned officer. From Saturday morning through Monday night, more than 110 similar complaints about commanders in every branch of the military had been logged by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF). The complaints came from more than 40 different units spread across at least 30 military installations, the MRFF told me Monday night.

Gog and Magog all over again I guess. How many times is it now? At least twice, you think Christians would realize they’ve seen this one before.

Hegseth has been working overtime to normalize it, recruitment videos pairing the Lord’s Prayer with fighter jets. christian nationalism has always been part of the military but it’s a prereq now.

Mikey Weinstein from MRFF puts it bluntly: “Hegseth makes it clear, ‘Here’s the template that we want.’ That fully encourages one of those Christian nationalists, commanders and members of the chain of command—whether they believe it or not. They know it’s a way to get ahead, to try to rationalize [the mission]”

So when a commander stands in front of troops and says Trump is “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran,” they’re not operating in a vacuum. They’ve watched their Secretary of War do exactly that for months without consequence.

That said, well over 200 complaints across 50+ installations show it’s not isolated to a few weirdos. Hegseth’s project has given them permission to say the quiet part out loud.

    https://mst.military.com/daily-news/2026/03/03/military-officers-accused-of-framing-iran-war-biblical-mandate.html

The complainants themselves are mostly Christians. They’re not objecting to faith in the military. They’re objecting to commanders using their rank to push specific apocalyptic theology.

Some of these commanders are genuine believers, Some are opportunists but at this point it’s a distinction without a difference, because the result is the same either way: troops being told it’s prophecy.

Considering most of the complaints are from formal briefings, it’s at least rampant in the command structure. Best case? We’re looking at years of investigations, reassignments, and quietly shuffling people out.

The only silver lining is Keg Breath is so uncharismatic that most of the top brass hate him specifically.
