    I mean, yeah, but both are bad. If the US government wants to stop China from spying, that’s good. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

      That’s naive beyond belief. The US government doesn’t want to stop China from spying, it wants to make sure that it does all the spying. And given that US has far more influence on the west than China, that’s a much worse situation to be in.

          It’s not shilling for Xi to point out unless you are in china you should be much more worried about five eyes and their allies given who actually can effect your life saying absolutely nothing either way on which government is “worse”.

    Yeah the average non-chinese person should be a lot more worried about what the five eyes are doing than with the Chinese government given who has the ability to actually affect their lives.

      Exactly, the government that has agency over them is the one people should be worrying about, amazing how this simple idea seems to escape so many.
