I understand why Warren Ellis was ousted, but—having read plenty of his comics back in the past—so much of what made Castlevania great was clearly his own style he brought to it. The personalities that he infused the characters with was a huge part of my personal enjoyment. I wish people would stop ruining things just because they were horny, and can’t behave appropriately.

The new writer/showrunner doesn’t have much to his name for something like this, but i’m totally willing to give it a shot.

Yeah, the dialogue was pure Ellis and it really contributed to the show.

I still maintain his cancellation was one of the most egregious of the metoo era. At worst it seemed like he just had a lot of flings with no intention of commitment. His wife was aware as they had an open marriage anyway.

Agreed tbh, I liked castlevania but season 3 and 4 had a lot of snoozes.

Looks like Rondo of Blood? And presumably Symphony of the Night, based on its Japanese title, Nocturne in the Moonlight. And the fact that it’s a direct sequel.

Should be interesting. Wonder if they’ll do another series after this. The only other cluster of games I can think of (besides Simon’s games) is in the future era.
