Seems a bit like uncharted with all that climbing, but has interesting simple graphics. I think I’ll keep it on my watchlist!

Oh man. Controls are one of those things that really click with some people and not with others. The jump mechanic in Jusant was the most frustrating thing about it for me; I couldn’t figure out which way you’re actually supposed to move the stick - towards where you need to jump? away from it? and judging the timing on double-jumping was impossible for me. there’s a spot in the demo that forces you to double-jump to continue and I was stuck attempting that jump 3 or 4 times.

otherwise, I thought it was a neat demo and the pure climbing bits were really nice (I wish they’d been longer, really). the writing was a bit confusing to start, but if it continues following one “narrator” then I can see it developing into an interesting story. I expect I’ll play through the whole thing once it’s out!

It took me a sec to understand the jumping, but yet the stick is supposed to go in the direction you want to jump. Its kind of weird because the character braces in the other direction when its about to happen. I really enjoyed the demo!

Jusant is one of those games that had me instantly feeling within 2 minutes of playing it that it was going to be something special. Promptly uninstalled and I am now waiting for the final thing.

One criticism I have is that the kb&m camera sensitivity was really low and frustrating even when turned all the way up. Other than that, it really seems far more interesting and compelling than the trailer had made it out to be.

I kind of enjoyed the demo but it was frustrating at times. The physics and camera angles need improving and having to wind the rope after every climb got boring really fast. In comparison, Tomb Raider or Uncharted have so much more to offer in terms of gameplay, so I’m not sure if I’ll enjoy the whole game focused just on climbing.

So it’s basically just the climbing part of Tomb Raider games plus some exploration and narrative? To each their own but the climbing parts were always my least favourite. It’s also why I couldn’t get into the Jedi games. It just feels unrewarding cause of how on rails the experience feels.

Curious if this sets itself apart somehow or if that’s really all it is and it’s just not for me.

I just played the demo on steam and it definitely does not feel as nearly on rails as the games you are mentioning. Each hand grab is done with the triggers and everything you do feels much more deliberate. There’s some neat paths you can do as well by placing different anchors on the walls and scrambling up and down to get momentum. I really really enjoyed it, and will definitely be checking it out when the full release comes

I read that glowingly positive article this morning. It was the most unequivocally positive game review I’ve read for years! I quickly downloaded the demo and gave it a go. What a steaming turd of a game.

Who in the hell would waste their time on this hot garbage? Painstakingly climbing a tower hand over hand…for what? The graphics aren’t even good.
