Aussie here that’s watched all of Corner Gas a couple of times, due to a recommendation from a Canadian friend. No-one else here has heard of it though. Big fan.
“With all due respect” is one of those handy phrases that can mean either. The user could be saying the amount of respect they think is due is zero.
They’re being pretty ruthless about grabbing all the world’s resources to make them as well.
Wasn’t he on suicide watch specifically to prevent him from doing that, though? Neglecting that duty seems to make them pretty culpable, I reckon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Jeffrey_Epstein#Death
Don’t even enter the cave.
It’s this better or worse than the focus group testing they’ve been doing for decades?
Seems to me there’s a pretty easy way to avoid getting such responses.
I find I keep accidentally clicking the thumbstick buttons, and I have the same problem with clicking the trackpads on the stream controllers. When the game gets tense I tend to increase my grip causing the clicks.
It’s a cool controller, but I find the analogue stick and face buttons are in an awkward position even for my large hands, and the buttons are a bit small. I prefer an Xbox controller for controller games, and I struggle to use the trackpads for mouse and keyboard games, so I barely use it.
I really like the Discover Weekly queue on Spotify. I’ll find a track I like, then listen to the album, and if that’s good, I’ll listen to the rest of the discography. I’ve found quite a few Most Favourite Bands Ever this way.
With things like Facebook, X, etc. ‘advertising vehicle’ is probably the most accurate term.
I’ve been using swipe to type on my phone, but I do wonder if I spend more time correcting it than I save by using it. If I have a physical keyboard, hell no. All spelling errors are entirely my own.
I don’t mind them going into space. It’s the coming back I have a problem with.
In a nutshell, we all thought he was cool until we actually learned more about him.
“… curtail developer choice” - This from a bunch of people for whom the term ‘executive meddling’ was created.
If you are looking at it that way, you should not buy any game with an online component.
Way ahead of you. I generally avoid games that make me rely on other people for my fun anyway.
That said, hypothetically, I still might ‘buy’ (i.e. lease) a game even if I know that it’ll be shut down eventually. It depends on the game. I even bought into the early access for Assetto Corsa Evo, although I am slightly uncomfortable that I don’t know what the EOL plan is for that. At least it has an offline mode built in.
I’m getting real Clive Palmer vibes from this.
Reset your expectations. It is what it is.
