This is mostly unrelated to the post, but, similarly to everything being “slammed” I’m tired of everyone “saying the quiet part out loud”.

That’s fair. I will not argue that.
In an ideal world, sure. School, largely, hasn’t taught that in a long time. That’s not how the incentive structures work. School is incentivized by grades, grades don’t go up with learning, teaching is hard, memorizing and regurgitating? That’s much easier. Tests have been changed to reflect that.
Unless, you’re not American that is. I wouldn’t have any experience with a somewhat functional education system.

What can they do for “gun safety”? I’m fairly sure the woman murdered wasn’t because of lack of gun safety on her end.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I do believe we have people deranged enough to try. Thank you for the comprehensive breakdown. I certainly do not know the nuances of law, just what I gathered.

Okay and when the federal government removes the state prosecutor from the state case and appoints a federal judge, what then? The federal judge is now hearing the case on behalf of the state.

Right, but I’m saying, that that state is going to attempt to prosecute, and the Feds are going to say it should be a federal trial, and drop charges. Are you saying the state would refile charges? Can you do that? You have already filed them, the feds said it was a federal issue, then refused to prosecute.
I guess where I’m confused is, if the it went to federal court, it wouldn’t be tried in state court, correct?
Or, are you saying, it can be both? Which, I can understand that, but, again, I don’t see how the state prosecutes, if the federal court rules that it’s a federal offense, not a state offense.
Edit: I’ve looked into it, involving federal agents, the case can be removed to a federal judge to oversee the states proceeding.

We’re actually agreeing I think. That’s also the doctrine that I would use to back my argument. The federal government, based on rhetoric, isn’t going to bring any charges. If the state does, using dual sovereignty, they can determine, that because it’s involving a federal agent, it violated federal law, and it should be tried in federal court. Then they’ll drop charges.

So, I haven’t gone through all the comments, however, yeah, the state can charge him but, the federal government can also make the case a federal one, then drop charges.
There is precedent for that.

Is that your opinion? Or just devils advocate? I loved andor, I don’t go looking for reviews or what people say about media I watch, but, I would agree with the person above, I thought it was one of the best things that has come out of Star Wars. At least it treats you like an adult.
Didn’t realize people didn’t like it, but, of course, I don’t like things other people like.

If I remember correctly, the seals were compromised by a fisherman, not exactly high tech security.

Yeah, and the state is going to have to deal with the shitshow the Feds left for us too. It’s a mess. I was also literally shaking, pacing back and fourth, on the phone with a friend of mine.

So, I live here, it’s also 45 degrees today. I don’t think you can even get stuck in the snow today. Unless you’re not on pavement.
Not that the lies need to be pointed out, they’re obvious without that… but still.

Funny, I was here to also tell a story except about a psych nurse. A “friend” of a friend. This actually happened recently. Dude was a cop, as was my friend(past tense is important here), they bonded over PTSD as well as both being on a psych unit. Well, dude tells a lot of stories about his copping days, and my buddy vouches for him as a date for a coworker. Turns out, guy is crazy, gets super possessive, crazy stuff like sending hundreds of texts a day, and violently rapes her. His whole backstory of being a cop was a lie, after digging, and finding close to double digits social media accounts, turns out he was separated for “administrative purposes” and moved here.
Most unsettling thing, for both me, and my friend, is, there weren’t really a ton of egregious red flags, looking back, sure, but in the moment, absolutely not. He’s having a hard time trusting his judgment(insert quip about being a cop at one point). I truly believe that was the first psychopath I’ve met.

So glad my dead mother will definitely see justice. /s

Allow me to add, “mint”.

You also go to prison before you’re tried. Even if it’s an illegal order. And military prison isn’t a fun place.

It’s not. High rate of fire ≠ combat effectiveness.
What? No?
