The donation by David Ellison backing President Joe Biden is a coup for allies of the incumbent Democrat, who will face Donald Trump in the November election.
So if I don’t vote for Trump, or vote 3rd party, AND don’t vote for Biden, is that one less vote for Biden to win? Not voting for any of them can’t possibly mean I’m benefitting all of the candidates at the same time, right?
…I may have confused myself, slightly sleep deprived.
Except in reality where unless you live in a swing state, a non vote doesn’t change much. Abstaining in California doesn’t support Trump, nor would Abstaining in Kentucky. Unless the smallest of statistical outcomes happens those states are locked, and if were going to decide based on small possibilities, may as well just vote for a candidate you actually want.
Ok but then it will take you 4 years to realize you would have made a difference had to voted. That’s pretty stupid and still gives the best chance to the person you want the least.

By not voting at all, you give the most chances to the person you want the least in office.
