Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul filed felony forgery charges Tuesday against two attorneys and an aide who helped submit paperwork falsely saying that former President Donald Trump had won the battleground state in 2020.
The charges were filed against attorneys Kenneth Chesebro, 62, and Jim Troupis, 70, and former Trump aide Mike Roman, 51, who allegedly delivered Wisconsin’s fake elector paperwork to a Pennsylvania congressman’s staffer in order to get them to then-Vice President Mike Pence on Jan. 6, 2021.
All three are due in Dane County Circuit Court on Sept. 19, according to court records. They each face one felony count punishable by up to six years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
Troupis and Chesebro did not return voicemail messages left Tuesday. Roman did not have an attorney listed in court records.
I had to go check if that was real, and sure as shit it is!
Dude is good for Wisconsin. He does the things, and we don’t hear about any of it. The way it should be.
Except when he’s being sassy. Which is not common at all, but I’m super here for it when it does happen.
God damn, I wish we had a governor as cool as Tony Evers.
hahahaha! That’s fucking brilliant!
No closing quote??
What a savage.
Those involved in the fake elector scheme aren’t just criminals, they’re traitors who really need to be dealt with severely.
Make Attorneys Get Attorneys!
Good. Crimes as terrible as this need to be prosecuted heavily.
Hell yeah, I am so excited these false elector lawsuits are finally getting filed.
Hopefully it discourages republicans from trying to do it again, oh wait that would require critical thinking… Nvm
Oh, they got poor Cheesebro. All he wants is some cheese, let him be!
Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, a Democrat, didn’t rule out filing more charges, including against the 10 fake electors, saying that the investigation is ongoing.
“Our approach has been focused on following the facts where they lead,” he said at a news conference.
Schaden-hahahahahaha
Someone who knows better than me: why do journalists include the ages of the people mentioned in articles like these?
Usually it’s done for people accused of a crime. I assume so that they don’t get confused with someone else with the same name.
I appreciated it
Besides what’s already mentioned, the mention of age creates instant engagement from the reader. Those old young people are always up to trouble.
Yep, another democrat prosecutor, shocking
A Republican would let these crimes go unpunished, is that what you’re suggesting?
Republicans just haven’t weaponized the justice system to go after their political opponents. That’s all this is

On no, people doing their job properly! The horrors! Whatever will we do!!???!!
Are you upset by a prosecutor prosecuting crimes? Or are you upset that people committing crimes you agree with are getting prosecuted? I’m just not sure what you are fake shocked about.
Yet another wrong take.
False…it is a Democrat
Nah … you just have wrong takes all the time.
Democrats bring democracy!
