If it is ridiculous, why is most of the world behaving that way? I’m genuinely confused on the night and day difference between this thread and the world around me.

Because the churn of propaganda convincing people to go to work and risk their health for the profits of capitalists. Jfc children can understand this. You’re just trolling.

I’m not trolling. I’m just confused it seems. I feel like I walked into the twilight zone.

Are you suggesting that everyone needs to be staying home and not working? If everyone doesn’t go to work, how will people survive (food, water, climate control)?

No but it should be treated as seriously as it is. Mask mandates, enforced distancing, *not forcing people that could easily work from home to come be under the watchful eye of some middle management sicko, etc.

Your arguments sound like bad faith and therefore I still stand by calling you a troll.

I don’t have the time or patience to deal with someone that deliberately is this ignorant/making up a strawman to satisfy your smug sense of liberal superiority.

okay. look. you are either saying you don’t understand how something that’s normalized can be bad or you’re just so goddamn dense that you’re about to rip spacetime a new asshole. racism is normalized but it’s bad. sexism is normalized but it’s bad. the united states massacring foreign civilians for their country’s resources is normalized but bad. and yes, covid is now also - say it with me - normalized, but still bad.

      christ alive.

If racism or sexism is normal or accepted where you are, we are truly in different worlds.

That aside, look, it’s clear that your walkway in life is vastly different than mine right now and I feel that disputing each others norms is fruitless and impossible.

        I appreciate your perspective.

we very literally are not. you just don’t notice these things because they plainly don’t impact you. you don’t care because it’s not your problem. you are exactly as much an impediment to a better world as any given nazi, and i wish you the same fate i wish them.
