One of the best Trek scenes of all time: Fear: “I’m afraid.” Hologram Clone of Janeway: “I know.” Fear: “Drat.”

    Fade to black.

Moral of the story: The only thing you have to fear will be born in Indiana and her name is Kathryn Janeway.

After all, she did detransition an enby and force it to become a heterosexual woman through conversion therapy and surgical modification.

Don’t blame Janeway. The real culprit is the same person who killed trans icon Jadzia Dax: Rick Berman. 😉

In all seriousness, I agree with you. Seven was a good character that the writers and producers made some egregious mistakes with.

I was young when this episode came out and it absolutely terrified me. I still find it scary to the point where I’ll turn it off sometimes when it comes on. Great ep though, and Janeway is a badass.

I don’t know if this is a hot take, but I love that episode. Anytime Star Trek took what is essentially an emotion, gave it form, and interacted with it, I found it fascinating.
