Most certainly not a state, and has its own government. It’s a separate country.

Okay, you’ve shown that the first part of your statement is correct (that NO ONE has contested). Explain how PR is a separate country, as you have asserted. Or you can just say you were wrong. It’s okay.

The answer you refuse to express is YES

So, not a territory. Not a state.

What do you call an area of land with a government? If not Country, what?

A territory of the US. You know, the thing it is. I don’t understand why you’re trying to redefine the word country to not admit you’re wrong. It doesn’t even buttress your point, it’s just a weird hill you are dying on for no reason.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to change my mailing address because apparently I live in the country of the USA, the country of Colorado, and the country of the city I live in. All of which have areas of land with a government.

Okay, if we’re just going to play make believe I’m good. I hope you sober up or something, you’re usually not this obstinate for no reason. Maybe PR is a soft spot for some reason. Idk. I’m good though. Have a good one!

Puerto Rico is a commonwealth, not a country.

Every US state is an area of land with a government. Are they countries?

Commonwealth is a form of government, not a definition of country. In fact, there are US commonwealth states, including Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. But at least you tried.

I gotta admit, I only replied because I was curious how long they would keep it up. I don’t consider Rapid a troll or bad faith most of the time, so this is disappointing. They very clearly just don’t want to admit that they are straight up incorrect, regardless of whatever point they’re trying to make.

Yeah, I figured it was hopeless after reading their other responses, but I wanted to see what kind of response stating very basic facts would get. A nonsensical statement with a snide comment at the end was the answer. Bizarre.

How exactly? You can be both a state and a commonwealth. Both a country and a commonwealth .

I don’t know if you’re trolling, but if not all of the 50 states also hold elections to form a government. That doesn’t preclude them from being a part of the US.

It is a state and a territory, but it is not a member of the union of states that is the US. It is a territory of the US.

Edit: I know, it’s confusing. Being confused doesn’t make you right though.
