The obvious outlier this week is Rent a Girlfriend. I wonder what part of the story triggered the jump in votes. I would check it out for myself but I already hate-read the manga, so I don’t think I can handle any more of that story in my life.

I will say the episode this past week was much more serious than past weeks, and that might be part of it. Less of Kazuya being a scumbag and more just kind of wholesome. I’m sure it will get back to the usual “ugh” soon.

Ok im gonna preface this as im an huge anime noob. Like I’ve watched Jojos, One punch, Black Clover, the gate and Mob psycho 100 in the last decade. Bleach us popular again? I was always told it was dead after the arc where they reset everything?

Bleach always caught up to the Manga which is why they had to make lots of filler. After season 16 they decided to end the series bc nothing new was there to make episodes about. This reboot is a continuation of the story, you can see it as Season 17, and it’s the best anime I have ever seen. Every Bleach fan who had to wait 10 years for the final arc to be animated gets a beautifully animated masterpiece. There is so much attention to detail in every aspect, it’s just incredible. They couldn’t have made a better continuation, tho I said that after the last cour as well and now they made the animation even better looking.

So if you watched all of Bleach when it first aired or if you wanna start the series from the beginning now you won’t regret it.

Not the person you were replying to but wanted to thank you for explaining “season 17.” Do you know or can you recommend a guide to which seasons of Bleach people should watch to avoid the filler while still understanding the arc? I’m interested in watching the reboot but I haven’t seen anything past a handful of seasons.

It looks like this may be a good guide.

I always recommend this guide. Be sure to watch the mixed episodes too bc they link up the stories again and sometimes contain great scenes too.

At some point there are two “filler” episodes which were made for the 10th anniversary, they are counted as canon bc of special manga chapters but are not important to the story, just a heads up.

Some filler is actually good but it disrupts the story so hard it’s incredibly annoying lol

My comment will be so contradictory to the replies you have got but bare with me. I started Bleach like an year ago due to the TYBW hype. But now that I have completed Bleach, I don’t want to watch more of it. Personally I feel Bleach should’ve ended at the Aizen Arc. Everything after seemed so pointless and a drag on.

Aizen arc too wasn’t that great imo. So much lag and I had to skip few canon episodes because how dragged the story is. Story was so uninteresting to the point where I asked my friends for spoilers to encourage me to complete the Aizen arc. Bleach is a really bad anime in my book and I shouldn’t have picked this one first, of the 2000’s Big 3.

I am far from a bleach expert as I only watched the first couple of arcs, but my understanding is that the anime adaptation of Bleach ended since they had caught up with the source material and didn’t want to keep making filler content while they waited for the manga. While the show was on hiatus, the manga continued with the final arc, called The Thousand Year Blood War. So, after the manga finished, they started the Bleach anime back up to adapt the end. That is what is currently airing.

The plot revolves more on “girl realizes she likes boy”. It helped that the both can do something that advances the relationship a little at crucial points.
