America (go figure) has a whole industry for prison electronics, and they’re see-through so nothing can be hidden inside. Try to import some of that if you want it today.

After watching John Oliver’s report on the FAA, I think there might be something to this new y2k. FAA is using equipment made in the 1800’s.

The problem is, even if it were solved for 99% of systems, 1% of systems crashing is still a massive problem.
But yeah, I also don’t believe that it is solved for 99% of systems. There’s a ton of embedded systems all over the place, which are easy to forget about.

For a limited definition of “solved”, sure. I recommend looking at the article for the dates that commonly used systems have solved the problem. Most are very recent, and changes like this take a very long time to adopt.
