    Yeah God forbid we have socialized healthcare otherwise we’d have to put up with long wait times, barriers to accessing care, and a lack of choice in healthcare providers.we certainly don’t have any of that now.

      Yeah what a horrible thing, everyone having access.

      I think Australia’s system is reasonable. If you have money you can have private health and get seen faster etc and bypass the public system.

      Unfortunately where I live its rural especially by American standards 260,000 people in my whole state (technically a territory <Northern Territory>) we have 3 cities two 20kms apart and the third 1500kms away with its own hospital there.

      So it’s hard to service two hospitals so close to each other and tithe private maternity ward was just shut due to lack of income
