    Not to split heirs, but “long after” in this case is ~12 seconds, IIRC — which is still gruesome AF, but worth being scientifically accurate, I feel. ✊🏼

          in the historic account, the guys eyes were clearly moving in reaction to the doctor’s voice

          one other time I remember that someone described the persons head as stuck in a scream but no sound came out

            Now, as far as “talking”? That requires aspiration, IIRC, and separating the larynx from the lungs kinda, ya know, stops that, pretty effectively. 😅
