Hi all!

I have a linux VPS that I rent in Germany. I use it for random projects and stuff, and I thought about hosting a Minecraft clone on it specifically for beehaw!

The opensource framework I used is called Luanti. In that engine there are lots of implemented games to choose from, I choose Mineclonia as it seems very popular and well supported.

The server used “beehaw” as map seed, and is currently running at the following IP: 212.227.170.117, port number is the default 30000 for Luanti.

How do I join? Just download the Luanti client, go to “Join Game”, fill in IP and port and register using your desired username and a safe new password.

I don’t have a URL for it yet and it is also invisible in the server browser of luanti, but you should be able to register using the IP. Looking forward to seeing others appear. This is a first experiment, so don’t be angry / sad if stuff breaks or gets lost. I just thought it would be fun to have a game to hang out in :). There is a maximum of 16 concurrent players at the moment. This is the default, I have no idea if the server can handle more or less! Also, please be kind in there. I am unable to moderate this place. If nasty stuff happens there, I might be able to block some people but I would probably just have to nuke the server!

There should be a menu-button with which you can open the inventory:

      Thank you!

      Was going crazy…

For some reason the word used by my languages translation just didn’t make me think of in-game inventory but rather of app+mods-storage on my device.

Should probably think about that for a bit!

Hmm, is there a way to improve that, like a different word that’s normally used? I could probably contribute a fix for the translation to the project…
