I agree with you somewhat but that’s not how that works. Elmo’s net worth also includes the value of the shares he has in Tesla, for example. If he starts selling those for real money he’d never be able to get the current actual value for them because it would melt the stock prices for Tesla harder than climate change is murdering all of us.
He does have those values available to do things like get loans against it, but it’s not like it’s money in the bank
Also, twitter is hemorrhaging money and users, and isnwroth only a fraction of the 40 something billion he bought it for, and making very little. Meanwhile, rent for those loans will likely be close to a billion and twitter will never ever again make even a fraction of that so yeah, that’s done.
