      It is infinitely more likely that the stress of the campaign trail, opportunities to cheat, and competing demands of their separate ambitions would bring a couple to the brink of divorce than… this suggestion.

      What happens if Paxton wins the primary against Cornyn? Texas becomes a COMPETATIVE STATE for the 2026 midterms.

      I don’t understand why Texas would become competitive.

        I think they are implying that the far-right Paxton would mobilize left-wing voters more than the not-quite-so-far-right Cornyn.
