This happened to me irl. They ask me to mess a bit with tarot cards and as they’re leaving they tell me “You’d go think about stuff before go you out dating. All men are predators”. When I ask them that sounds incredibly prejudiced they just respond with “It’s in the studies”. I was perfectly fine when feminism meant egalitarianism but thats is oughtright stupid vitriol that’s gonna help noone.
Eh, some people are too stupid to successfully think in non-extreme, non-categorically binary terms, at least not without leading them through it. It’s easy to ‘make sense’ (lol) of the world that way, just like it’s easier to read the horoscope and KNOW there’s just 12 different kinds of people (maybe more if you count the ‘ascendant’ sign or whatever) than it is to understand human complexity and the mixture of culture (time and place), life experiences (various ways of childhood trauma come here), attachment styles, etc. that makes a person.
