I don’t think he needs to be a distant memory. He needs to be held up for generations as the epitome of all that is wrong with the world.

We need regular societal level analysis of why we should avoid letting things get to a point where another Trump like figure emerges and investigation in how best to deal with it when it does.

Also “Don” or “Trump” should be made a synonym for explosive diarreah.

The 2030s and 2040s are looking pretty bleak with climate change impacts.

I don’t think we’ll all be congratulating ourselves on how great things are going without Trump.

I think we’re on a pretty bleak trajectory, and Trumpism is a manifestation of society’s anxiety around that. Poor uneducated idiots want to pretend it’s not happening, and wealthy fucks want to implement a slave class to live in the wasteland and produce soylent

You’re both right. This shit needs to be remembered by history as a lesson, but I also deeply look forward to it no longer being current events.

I cannot wait for the first time, after his inevitable passing, that I go a full week without hearing his name or seeing his stupid fucking sphincter looking face. Not forgotten, just not a constant goddamn onslaught.

There was a brief time, prior to the election in 2024, that I truly thought that I might not ever need to read or hear about this piece of shit ever again (I’m sure he’d still do stupid shit in the news, but I won’t have to read it to stay abreast).

        I miss that feeling.

I totally agree with the sentiment of your reply. I just mean, I want him in the past, because he makes the present a daily dread-fest.
