This is sad. It’s the closest thing the US had to a kei car since the Scion xB. The last hope for something even remotely similar will be the Slate Truck with a bunch of mods, and even then it won’t have four side doors.
You have to use the wayback web site, but the hampsters still dance:
I owned a Soul. I loved it, small car but huge and spacious inside. Fun to drive and very economical with gas. But then they didn’t install immobilizers on them as standard, so the KiaBoyz trend happened. Insurance kept going up, and that’s if you weren’t declined outright. So I traded it in after 4 years of ownership.
What the fuck does this have to with the Hamster Dance?
They did some commercials with people in hamster costumes driving the car.
Kia funded the original hamster dance website. also, meat spins.
The first half is plausible, but the second half is sus.
Second half was probably Jeep, let’s be honest.
Just make it twice the size they’ll sell like hotcakes. Maybe /s.
Don’t forget to also give it a lift kit and a pointlessly short pickup bed.
IT’S NOT SHORT! Oh you said the bed. Yeah. Yeah. That’s short.
No, I would never dare to imply anything else is short. I have already been duly impressed by the magnificent set of testicles hanging from your trailer hitch.
This person sells cars. ☝️
I had one of these as a rental once and I really didn’t like it. The thing was noisy, the transmission was super jumpy, and it had no useful space inside. I was expecting some like my mom’s Honda element at the time and was sorely disappointed. Granted this was 7-8 years ago and I never drove the current Gen version.
Good. I’m tired of wondering if someone says they own a Soul, whether it’s a Kia Soul or a Honda Soul…
You mean the Honda Del Sol? Which may or may not be a CR-X variant, Civic variant, or its own thing depending on year and region.

I’ve never heard it referred to just as a Soul.
I can’t confirm or deny, you might be right. Dude scrapped that car ages ago. I think it was an early 90’s 2 door Honda, stick shift. 🤷
I miss my Del Sol!
That may have been the car that was most fun to drive I’ve ever owned.
I went to test drive one once and couldn’t get my legs under the steering wheel.
Sitting in my 6’3" husband’s Soul out and about with him right now, read him your comment… “Oh yeah it’s a pain in the ass”.
wonder if it has anything to do with all these companies refusing proper wages and jacking the cost of everything just because…
