It’s not that the Qatar will have their own “base”, just that they can do training/exercises at a USAF base. They’re building an area for them, on the USAF base. Now, I’m not saying I agree with this, but this is something that the USAF has done with other countries for a long time. A buddy of mine learned a bit of Dutch from his time on a USAF base, cause some Dutch military trained in his base. Most notably, there’s Singaporean military on this same base that they’re expanding for Qatar.

At the end of the day, these decisions should not be made lightly. As the ramifications of such decisions, could be catastrophic to the american people. From the top of my head we have, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, and the UK training on US soil. These are countries that I would classify as, chill folks. Qatar is not one of those. I view it as a security risk, that could result in the death of many people. Call your reps and sens, this is your taxpayer money at work.

I’m not saying in good with this, but the US has military bases everywhere.

I’m asking about the other way around. How many non-US bases are in the US already?

Simply put, if a person is voting specifically with the interests of the united states and not other countries in mind, those are arguably beneficial to us, whether or not they’ve caused issues for other countries (they have), just as this is not beneficial and indeed possibly actively harmful to the states

True, but they were built under the pretence of protecting those nations from the Soviets during the cold war.

Fuck no. We have had them come here on a routine basis. Worked with multiple nations that we host, but never gave them their own facility. This shit is treason.
