The looks remind me so much of the Peeler trucks in Northern Ireland… :D
I hate these things. No AC. Diesel. Stripped down and cost a fortune.
Jeep used to build the postal vehicles. I wish they would just use a normal vehicle manufacturer to refit an existing model instead of overpaying military manufacturers for some bespoke monstrosity.
Neither of the engines these came equipped with are diesel, they’re gas engines. They also have some very specific features that make them well suited to mail delivery.
Saying that, they do have their problems, like no AC, poor heaters, and bad MPG. The new EV replacements are pretty well liked by USPS drivers, from what I’ve read.
