Many have observed that Trump . . . is looking to create a pretext for a much harsher crackdown. This makes Saturday’s No Kings protests even more consequential. In the event of any violence, whether from protesters or agent provocateurs, the president will doubtless seize on it to expand his power.
Hope of what?
A peaceful protest isn’t going to do shit. No protest, no matter how big and how widespread is going to make fascists not be fascists.
Anything that isn’t direct action is just an excuse so people can say they “did something” then go back to doing absolutely nothing whike Trump and his cronies do whatever they want to The US and those people can say “well I went to protest, so it’s not my fault, I did something”
fuck off, stop trying to discourage people from going protest
Okay, sorry. I’m sure holding up your witty sign about how it’s so bad even the introverts are here will totally make the fascist reconsider their ways and free all the people ice has illegally detained
American liberals will fight harder against your suggestion that they’re not doing enough than they will against fascism. Cowardly fucking clowns to the last man.
What direct action are you taking?
This is the laziest and most predictable fucking response to people promoting direct action.
? So you aren’t?
yeah, you guys tend to hate it cause it points out t he hypocrite keyboard warrior “leftists”
Well I’m not American so my government hasn’t gone fully fascist yet.
But to answer anyway as part of Just Stop Oil I’ve participated in shutting down LNG depots, crashed a fossil fuel investment fair, shut down shell offices and allegedly some criminal damage to a sea floor survey vessel used by BP. and I’m currently waiting for trial date for supporting Palestine Action.
That’s cool, how does someone get involved in that?
