While thousands of federal workers go without pay, the government shutdown has had little impact on the day-to-day happenings on Capitol Hill and in the White House.

Trump wanted this shutdown, he even said it himself… “we are doing a lot of things that we wouldn’t be able to do if there wasn’t a shut down, ending a lot of democratic programs”. Don’t let them have you believe that it’s a one party fault, they aren’t stupid, they all could see in between the lines of what could happen with a shut down.

Sometimes. When he starts going off script, it usually shows what he’s actually thinking, e.g. “I love the poorly educated”, “smart people don’t like me”

Except this “oh the shut down is good for us actually” nonsense has been the Republicans’ script since this thing started. Fact is everything they’re doing now is stuff they wanted to do before the shutdown anyway.

His actions have been to have every communication channel he has yell at Dems for shutting down the government and try to bully his way out of the mess his party created. Seems to me like anybody who says this is all going according to some plan is assigning competence to these fascists they have not earned.
