The US is deploying the world’s largest warship towards the Caribbean, marking a major escalation in its military build-up in the region.
Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the USS Gerald R Ford aircraft carrier, which can carry up to 90 aircraft, to move from the Mediterranean on Friday.
The US has been increasing its military presence in the Caribbean in recent weeks, sending other warships, a nuclear submarine as well as F-35 aircraft in what it says is a campaign to target drug traffickers.

What could possibly be gained by this? I’d like to point out that the US government is still shut down because congress hasn’t managed to pass a budget.
you mean shut down until everyone forgets about the epstein files?
If they finally do disclose his pedophile rape crimes in there, then the israelis presumably will have less material to extort him with. And he’ll lose huge amounts of support. You’d think.
Well, that’s held up by Johnson refusing to do his job and swear someone in. It’s still coming, whether the government reopens or not - the shutdown would be a delay tactic on the FBI side
