I attempted to recreate gagh. Easy to make but hard to enjoy. Tasted perfectly fine. Not much going for it but the spice.
If you can find shirataki noodles, those are said to look very close to the worms. However I couldn’t, so I resorted to udon (used on DS9).
Ingredients:
- soy sauce
- rice vinegar
- fish sauce
- gochujang
- food coloring
Depending on how much you use, the food coloring may be unnecessary.
EDIT: I changed this post to NSFW so those grossed out don’t have to scroll past and see it.

@hopesdead
I think it’s “Afterimage” in DS9 (S7E3) where Ezri Dax discusses the different varieties. Pretty funny scene.
I only recall the amount of varieties. In “wej Duj” (unless mistaken) they established these are blood worms which feed on blood. What kind of blood? Who’s to say? Much like when we ask if bloodwine is made with actual blood.

Kind of a garish site, but here’s something. And it was “Prodigal Daughter,” not “Afterimage.”

@hopesdead Here
Okay, I remember the scene. Funny that Kira knows the name Santa Anna. They must discus it a lot.
Is there supposed to be an image there? I don’t see any.
Hungarian bikavér is not actually made with blood, despite the name (but it’s very tasty).
