Trump said that a vote for Republican Curtis Sliwa would split the anti-Mamdani vote.

Vast majority of NYers will take that as an endorsement for Zohran.

What’s the angle I’m missing here? Flip Sliwa voters? Mobilize MAGA non-voters? How would this boost Cuomo more than it boosts Zohran?

Saw an interview with Mamdani reacting to the news of Trump endorsing Cuomo. He was almost joyful about it. Cuomo spent the race talking about how he was going to take on Trump, then he accepts Trump’s endorsement. It’s almost too easy.

    “You Really Have No Choice”

This isn’t the 2024 election, they actually do have a choice.

I think I can confidently say I’m a fan of Sliwa as long as he stays in the race and does NOT win. Because of him the conservative vote is split.

I predict Mamdani will get more than 50% of the vote, but yes, nice to have insurance.
