Like, i’ll use full sentences, explain my day, ask them about theirs (even though they can’t answer), but then someone asks me ‘how are you?’ and i just grunt ‘good.’ am i the only one who does this?

Exactly. The dude was literally in all of the last ~5 comment sections that I’ve been in. Together with another dude (whose nickname I forgot), who also chose a famous person’s name, and just replaced a few letters in it.

  • Less weird than people “having a conversation” with chatbots. At least animals actually have a soul. They might not fully understand what you say, but they can hear the tone of your voice and perhaps, maybe, detect facial expressions (maybe).

I mean I don’t understand what meows mean, but its always lovely. The different pitchs/tones of the meows almost feels human, so lovely.

You’re not alone. I have very detailed convos with my cats all the time. I think its easier because you can say whatever you want and they won’t judge.

It’s almost like its own little mini catharsis sometimes.

Improve your people’s social skills. Honestly, I don’t think you’re rare by nowadays standards. You basic relate to animals more and are losing your humanity.
