Minneapolis officials called on protesters to go home Wednesday night amid clashes with law enforcement after a person who the Department of Homeland Security said had assaulted one of its officers was shot in the leg during an immigration enforcement operation earlier in the evening.

A person was shot by a federal law enforcement officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday evening after resisting arrest and “violently assaulting” an officer, the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement, as the city is still reeling in the aftermath of last week’s fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent.

    “I urge anyone that is at the scene to leave immediately,” Police Chief Brian O’Hara said, calling the gathering an “unlawful assembly.”

    Fuck right off. The proud boys can gather in public and yell slurs and wave hate symbols that are banned in many countries, but we can’t even protest in public because there’s thugs killing innocent people?
