I don’t live there now, but am from Edmonton, and have spent most of my life there. All my family are still there and i visit a few times a year.

They might not know about their equivalent in the US: Mississippi.
It’s really more like Texas. Populous, rich and with major cities that are a lot more progressive.
To begin with, much of the loud infowarrior rides are also there, trying to import MAGA garbage from south of the border.
