As long as the fascists are in power, they are functionally above the law. We’ve seen them murder in broad daylight and rape without punishment.

Rape by law enforcement is not at all a new problem. Now with even less oversight, encouragement to be “aggressive”, a blitzkrieg method of deploying & hiring, and people being deported & disappeared… Civil rights are on the back-burner
Civil rights are far beyond the back-burner, they’ve already been left out to cool, then emptied into the garbage and now put in the dishwasher, where they’re currently getting thoroughly rinsed clean.
