I sometimes wonder if ICE could get away with a mass shooting.
Several trucks of ICE agents show up at some university.
“You’re harboring illegal immigrants. Give them up.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
pew pew. plop.
“Sir, members among the university staff pulled guns on us. We’re sweeping through the facility to neutralize the terrorist threat.”
Police show up.
“Don’t worry officers, we’re handling the situation here. Illegal immigrants started shooting at us, so we’re handling the threat.”
“ICE agents at that university today have stated that the staff were encouraging the students to rebel against the United States. We should be thankful for the agents’ swift action.”
“We need to reach across the aisle and help our ICE agents in need. Foiling a terrorist plot like that must be weighing heavily on them.”

They used the National Guard back then and no one was ever held responsible.
