Constrictors do bite and they don’t kill by choking.
Choking would be if they obstructed the airway.
Constrictors squeeze their prey. It could die from suffocation or from any other problem that constriction might cause.
Constricting the neck is also a choke.
You don’t say “constrict me, daddy”
