This guy is just walking around public spaces still people. A drone with some thermite taped to it would probably do it ffs.
I am sure that then everything will get better and the huge cabal of politicians and billionaires will just forget about what they were doing.
Jesus Christ I am so tired of liberals online who are in complete denial of how dire this situation really is. There is no fucking cabal of politicians and billionaires, there doesn’t need to be, because this is a capitalist system that operates in the interest of, go figure, capital. It isn’t a fucking secret society of exceptionally corrupt individuals pushing fascism, they don’t have mind control powers or actual infinite resources to facilitate their nefarious schemes. This system is built to their interest.
Donald Trump’s death does not need to undo a system to still have value. His personality is extremely effective at absorbing the middle class, white, liberal imagination of the violence this system must inflict to survive. So far, he hasn’t even done anything that exceptional relative to hundreds of years of US imperialism. Except, because liberals, like you, are primed to think of this system as perfect bar the few nasty bad actors, they are satisfied with his exceptionally loud delivery of this violence as an explanation for why the violence is happening. Even if it’s just for justice for those his administration is responsible for killing and harming, it would be valuable.
Like, what the fuck else is going to convince you people that violence is going to be necessary? Sorry that it’s scary, but smug denial of this reality is a very short term solution.
I agree with you 100%. Violence will be necessary. Eery day it’s getting harder to control my anger and not just lash out at some Trump supporters near me, there are a bunch. It’s just I have a wife and daughter and I would very much like to walk my daughter down the aisle ten-15 years from now. I love seeing her grow up.
So I feel helpless. Things for me will have to much worse that I know it will endanger my daughter’s future before I’ll probably act.
Stop writing paragraphs upon paragraphs for the benefit of strangers who almost completely agree with you because you’ve assigned them an entire political ideology in your head based off of 3 sentences and go do something that matters.
People like you are extremely uncomfortable with the reality of your words. Its not “in someone’s head” when they make an observation about you that you don’t like. If you don’t want to be a liberal, you should consider more deeply why you advocate for liberalism in how you express your understanding of the world.
I write for a living, takes thirty seconds to write what counts as a paragraph on this site. If four paragraphs on the internet is too excessive for you, I reckon you don’t read about what you pretend to know about all that much.
When Brian Thompson got shot and people cheered on it Peter Thiel was literally speechless. Billionaires dear mortality in an abstract sense, they didn’t seem to think that the plebs could be a le to touch them.
And yet the insurance industry marches on.
Smug. One of the only events in the past few years that incited class solidarity across cultural lines in the US and you see it as valueless because the bullet wasn’t magic.
Discourses after he was shot demonstrated that Americans, regardless of their political affiliations, recognise the systemic failure to address both the cruelty of healthcare denial and create consequences for those in positions of power. You think they fought tooth and nail to find someone to blame after just because they were sad that this guy got shot? Grow up.
You’re wrong about what I think and you’re wrong to assert that that is what I think and I’m not taking you seriously because of it.
Refer to the other comment. I don’t really care if someone like you takes me seriously. I sometimes respond to these things to prevent others like you from feeling too validated when they come across these threads. The deeper you go, you’ll notice its mostly people who hate the first comment that drill down to find others they agree with.
