Time is a flat circle that consists of only about 100 years.
I’ve met too many people that are so comfortable with open prejudice against Romas.
I’ve met many Roma kids when I was a kid that directly shaped these prejudices.
Why are Roma people so openly discriminated against?
Most of them are loud, disrespectful, dirty liars and criminals.
I’d be interested to learn more about their side of things - is it more like a ‘us against the world’ thing or ‘only the stupid get swindled, and if they do, it’s their fault’ ?
Transient populations are easier to “other”
But Roma people seem to be a rather permanent presence in East/South east European countries?
Everything old is new again.
