    That’s basically why the Supreme Court ruled that Presidents have some degree of immunity from prosecution. It wasn’t just about shielding Trump from prosecution…it was also about retroactively pardoning all the previous presidents for their own individual “crimes”, while in office.

    The precedent was set after Nixon. Their ruling just legitimized all that previous lack of accountability.

    But, in Trump’s case…not a lot that he does is in the service of the country. Most of it, is entirely self-serving…and that can be prosecuted.
