Couldn’t the newly raised tax revenue be used by the government to prop up the economy and mitigate the effects? I’m admittedly not particularly familiar with the effects you mention, nor how they came about.
It’s more so that the economic devastation of hyperinflation after WW1 created a very angry population, and that pushed a lot of people into the arms of the nazis.
My comment was more of a facetious take that the people should just put the wealthy elite 6 feet under, so we dont have to worry about them using their connections to get revenge.
