    They never cared, at that level it’s not about party it’s about protecting the interests of their class. If the working class had the same level of class unity that the wealthy do, the wealthy would not exist

      That is the plan and has been since the indentured servants and slaves rebelled. And they turned us against each other. It works remarkably well and has for centuries.

      I think most of the voters convince themselves that they care. They were just too open to moving on to whatever their preferred propaganda channel tells them to start worrying about, because they don’t actually care about anything other than the tribe.

        Most of the voters do care, they are just so beat down and cynical they don’t expect anything to come of it. They don’t insist something does come of it. Especially with the democrats, but republicans too. They do care but no one is doing anything about it.

          I think it’s more important to shine a light on right wingers losing interest, as that’s what enables enough politicians to do nothing about it, which is what justifies non-right voters apathy.
