Lying flat is what I hear it’s called in China. There’s a lot we don’t need on a daily that we purchase because of consumerism. It’s finding what’s needed. Wear old clothes until they fall apart, eat less and less processed food, don’t just stop media consumption but pirate it if you can and show if for those who can’t. We need multiple pain points here that are sustained. The other part is look out for each other. Your neighbor can barely eat while working? Buy some extra non-perishables for them. Have extra clothing? Give it right to people who need it. Collectivism is how we get rid of capitalism.

All of western society needs a major re adjustment. So yes boycotting American everything is good, but we need to look inward. Our lives of excess without tangible positive impact on all life in this planet cannot continue.

Strawberries are luxury goods in Canada. Usually $6-8/pint here now
Nobody is buying them and the stores have to drop the prices or watch them rot on the shelf.
As an American, I mostly buy Canadian or European, except for food.
