The NYT has a weaker headline:
‘Enough Is Enough’: Hundreds of Minnesota Businesses Take Stand Against ICE
After protesters called for a pause on economic activity and work to strike against the federal immigration crackdown, many business owners won’t open their doors on Friday.
Its a general strike. The first in the US in living memory
A list of businesses is here

It means a lot more people will be out on the streets to stop ICE.
It’s going to be down to -15 degrees in Minneapolis today. It will be legitimately dangerous to be outside. The vast majority of people will be cooped up inside all weekend. Not saying this was a bad idea, just a very unfortunate day to plan it.
I see big crowds
Minnesota residents are far better prepared to be outside in the cold than ICE
It’s nice to see that! I know I’m currently hiding under the covers so those people are all brave to be out there.
FYI you need to be signed into bluesky to see that post.
