He’s not even around much anymore, too busy gearing up for his Enlightened Centrist 2028 run.

The California Congress is more progressive than him and may actually have enough votes for shit like this to be veto proof. Newsome may unironically have the current goal of not pissing off Congress so he doesn’t get impeached since that’d look real fucking bad for a presidential run.

Polis works so hard to appease the Trump regime that I’m surprised by his stance here.
I think it depends. Polis is not all that consistent. Not sure if it is the Libertarian streak or what.
So when do we flip Trump’s 51st state comment on its head, and start to organize “welcome to Canada” parties for states who want to become provinces?
